FLING got appointed to create a strategy to market "CHEF" ( title in Germany: "Kiss the Cook") outside the regular film promotion channels. In order to do so we arranged nationwide collaborations with street food markets throughout Germany, where the markets would not only display the film posters and fliers, but also share the trailer on their social media platforms. This way we could reach the so-called foodie-scene in the most direct way.
Additionally we took care of all food related online and print press including all relevant German food bloggers that happily gave out tickets for exclusive previews and official cinema screenings to their readership.

 

About "Chef":

 

The Iron Man director’s comedy Chef has been acquired by Open Road Films, which was released on May 9, 2014.  Jon Favreau wrote the script and both directed and stars in the film, which centers on Carl Casper, a man who starts up a food truck business in the hopes of reestablishing his artistic promise after he loses his job as a chef, all the while trying to reconnect with his estranged family.  Favreau plays Casper alongside an impressive supporting cast that includes Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson, John Leguizamo, and Robert Downey Jr. 

Chef marks a return to smaller character-centric films for Favreau after his recent blockbuster turns with the first two Iron Man films and Cowboys & Aliens.
